This would turn into a very heated, probably obnoxious, conversation with me very quickly. That movie was terrible on every level.

The great majority of people, esp young males, say this, and there are probably untold numbers of conversations where groups are in total agreement about the application of the word "awesome" to the film.
I never experience these conversations around me in their entirety, though, because I always pop in and patiently explain to them the error of their ways.
