Default Re: Stupid things you believed as a child

[ QUOTE ]
Just wondering for all the posters that had misconceptions of female anatomy through the teenage years, was there no sex ed in your school?

[/ QUOTE ]

I had a friend in high school who had very religious parents. I had to explain the "birds and the bees" to him at age 17. He had casually mentioned to me one day that he found it "gross" that babies were made by the man sticking his penis in a woman's butt. I took it upon myself to explain to him why this was wrong. It was a pretty awkward conversation, but I wouldn't have been able to live with myself had I let this poor guy continue to believe what he did.

Once I was done explaining female anatomy and the reproductive process to him, I asked him how he could have gone through multiple years of sex-ed without figuring these things out for himself.

His answer was that he hadn't paid much attention in class.
