He's mentioned why plenty of times. The posts should have a background about the trip, timing, your interests, and things you're looking to do.
Contrast this with "HELP! WUT DO I DO IN SAN DEIGO NEXT WEEK!" in the subject and "I WILL BE IN SANDEIGO FOR 4 DAYS NEXT WEEK, IS IT KEWL!!!!!!!" as the body of the message.
