42 consecutive scoreless innings as a starter is infinitely more impressive than a perfect game and a half or whatever from a [censored] reliever. This is and should be a huge story and is a great accomplishment. Webb for MVP, Cy Young, and the record <3

No way. Sure, pitching 7 innings in one night is harder than one inning seven times, but perfect>>>>>>>>>>&gt ;>>>scoreless, which far more than makes up for this difference.

I'm pretty sure that scoreless and perfect are both of equal value.

Value in what context? We're talking records here, not win shares. No one is saying the best pitcher in baseball is the guy who throws the most no-hitters or perfectos, but its a quirky accomplishment. I remember all the no-hitters I've been a part of, including the one perfect game, but I honestly can't remember many of the shutouts. Perfect is a lot HARDER than scoreless, which is why the record is >.
