Yes, he's that bad. He is incredibly inefficient, is always in the top three in Pitcher Abuse Points, walks way too many batters, gives up way too many home runs, and his strikeout rate has fallen every year along with his velocity.
Does that sound like a guy you give a 7 year deal to? He benefited from a sick defense in Oakland and all the foul ground there.

I wasn't defending the deal he was given. Just meant that I would have expected him to manage an ERA in the low 4s in the NL West.
