Default Re: NL 200: Combo value bet/bluff good idea or spew?

[ QUOTE ]
the river raise is because it makes him put me on a bluff or a straight, so that way if he decides i have 9 he will fold better hands, and if he put me on a bluff he will call light in which case my 2 pair is good,

here are the results:

*** RIVER *** [Jc Th Qd 8h] [3s]
lionel876: bets $25
jared_jon is sitting out
billzfan86: raises $60 to $85
lionel876: calls $60
*** SHOW DOWN ***
billzfan86: shows [8c Qc] (two pair, Queens and Eights)
lionel876: mucks hand
billzfan86 collected $207 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $210 | Rake $3
Board [Jc Th Qd 8h 3s]
Seat 1: Tixmaster folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 2: jimbet folded before Flop
Seat 3: lobo54 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 4: billzfan86 showed [8c Qc] and won ($207) with two pair, Queens and Eights
Seat 5: Mr.smith12 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 6: jared_jon folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 7: Beyonder01 (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 8: lionel876 (small blind) mucked [Jd Td]
Seat 9: TehBluffman (big blind) folded before Flop

I still disagree with this...it looks like results-oriented thinking to me. Unless you have an amazing image or some insane read on the guy, the raise seems really poor to me.
