Yes, it evens out if you sell and buy in Tampa but if you compare to areas that have not had the same increases in the top two housing expenses, besides your mortgage and utilities then it is not even.
The additional costs puts an additional burden on you folks in FL and that's my main reason for not moving there. I expect housing in FL will lag the country unless or for as long as those increases are not rectified somehow.
