Default Re: bank roll...where to start....when to move up?

Some people say the high low split games are better for your bankroll such as seven card stud eight or better or omaha eight or better. This is because, often you will be exiting a hand early, freerolling to scoop the nuts, and sometimes taking at least half the pot.

On the other hand some of these games are full of experts, and even if you were an expert eight or better player you'd probably win more money playing donkey's at hold em than a table full of experts at eight or better. A lot of people don't meniton it, but table selection is just as important(if not more) than Banroll management.

That being said, of course--you must know how to play, and you must make decisions with +EV, otherwise your BR doesn't matter. Even the smallest leak will eventually suck up every last penny. I mean you can find some craps games where you only lose a fraction of a percentage. These are the games they advertize on Freemont st 100x odds and whatnot. The point is they're not giving anything away. Over a long enough time span, that tiny percentage will make you broke.
