Yes - but unless he's an idiot this shouldn't make much difference; he ought to know that he is effectively calling you AI if he calls the raise.
However, this is a $6, so you can't assume that he knows anything of the sort and a push will have more FE because it costs him more chips to see a flop. More importantly, you don't have enough chips to play the hand if you raise (-> push preflop), and you won't have enough chips left to get a fold on the flop even if he missed (-> push preflop).
