Default Re: Al Mirpuri: The Draw Poker Stats

[ QUOTE ]
This winrate seems a bit low, but the reason could be as
you stated. In addition,

a) you are probably not selective about which tables to play
b) you may not have many player notes on your opponents
c) there may not be very many weak players at your tables

I think a good winrate should be between 2 and 4 big bets
per hour, but don't forget that there are still some big
swings if you play bigger than 2-4. Unfortunately, the
drawback about playing on IPN is that you can't see how many
cards each of your opponents are drawing in the chatbox, so
it's harder to multitable (but not impossible: just remember
at most a four digit number for each table; besides, the
maximum you can play is only five, but there are rarely
even four decent tables to play at in regular limit draw).

Thanks for the post bigpooch.

A) I do not practise game selection in that I am only willing to play $1/$2 until my bankroll is bigger though technically I am already over bankrolled for $1/$2. Moreover, except for Saturdays there is only one $1/$2 game on Paradise poker. There about 50 draw players on weekdays.

B) On the contrary, I have extensive notes on my opponents. I make some very nuanced plays against these players.

C) There are few weak players weekdays. I am only playing weekends from now on.

Importantly, I have discovered a leak in my game when playing heads up and as first to act as small blind versus the big blind.

Stopping the leak and playing only weekends should take my winrate back where it should be.
