I've been wondering about this myself, we dropped it all the time in high school (in the 80s) but now it seems like everybody takes ecstasy instead these days.

It is very, very difficult to obtain nowadays. It's much harder to manufacture than most drugs and when you do come across it it's usually laced with things like PCP.
