I'm no Steamboatin' , but....
1) Grand Casino buffet withstood multiple visits without getting vile.
2) Gold Strike buffet never seemed to please me, but I cannot define why.
3) Gold Strike < Horseshoe < Grand Casino
I was actually pretty happy with the tableside food service at the Strike, despite the 2nd hand smoke. Sorry if I held up play, but I was going to fold anyhow.

Second hand smoke?? You musta been by one of the entrances. Usually the smokiness there is at a minimum compared to the Horseshoe & Sam's Town.
