The stuff I have in my safe, I need access to 24/7, ie, if I want to take 3 or 4k in chips to the casino at midnight, on a whim, having that money in safe deposit box is pointless (I have about 5k worth of casino chips because in missouri you can only buyin for 500 ever 2 hours). Or if I collect/owe 4 or 5k, and I need it that night, but dont know it until after bank business hours, Im screwed. For documents, use the bank though, I agree.
