Thanks for the replies so far. Yeah, I have no intention of keeping large wads of cash in there. Maybe a few thousand in various currencies since I travel between the US, UK (current home), and the UAE (soon to be new home) a lot but my main concern is my watches and gf's jewelry.

I would definitely go for a in-wall safe but I'll be moving into an apartment that naturally (a) won't probably allow that even if I do own the property (b) there probably won't be a wall thick enough to cater for a safe. I'd be looking for something that could probably be bolted to the floor.

Anyways, can anyone suggest makes or recommendations, good experiences??
