I would suggest you call the Grand Casino (at the number I posted earlier for them) and ask for Joe Mendoza in the Poker room as he was the fellow who helped me out.
Also, one reason why your pricing might be higher, is if you are staying Labor day weekend.
I was told by Joe that the weekend rate applied for all 3 days for that weekend (Friday, Sat, Sun), since it was a holiday weekend.
