Default Re: Live 1/2 NL, flopped two pair, villain push

[ QUOTE ]
Well, I folded face up and villain flashed me J6. SOB!

Would anyone here reraise all in such as villain did with top and bottom over the top of my reraise? Honestly another two pair never even crossed my mind...what does it beat that I reraised with? I had villain on 666 or air and gave him the benefit of solid post flop play (guess not!).

Seriously, isnt villain's line really bad or do I have a lot to learn?

As an aside, I normally muck this pre but with 18 callers, position, and a very easy to play hand postflop (haha, usually that is) I figured I'd take a look.

Someone that is LAG is certainly capable of this type of play. I mean, sure you have to give him credit sometimes, but a good percentage of LAG players will raise with 6/6 in the BB with a bunch of limpers in the hand.

As far as you giving him credit for solid post flop play, you should, because he made you lay down the best hand.

As for villain, I think he's either pushing or folding there as he can't sit there and wait for your bets on the turn and river to try and improve. He's got a strong hand that is somewhat vulnerable. So, by shoving, he can take down the pot right there, as he did. The only hand that will certainly call him is a set, 7/7 being the likely one considering his holdings. He's ahead of one of the other two hands that might call him (6/7), and behind on the other (j/7) but there's a good chance neither call.

So, the way I look at it, he's behind two hands but only one will certainly call him.

Good play by villain, IMO.
