You can profit, and profit well in MTTs as shown by the volume of posters on here who have stellar results.
It sounds like you have a small sample size. Don't get too concerned with your ROI/ITM, etc. until you have played several hundred tournaments. This still won't give you a true read on what your winrate is, but it should be at least a decent guide.
