Okay, so let's pursue this line of questioning. According to the hand record and trying to piece it together you had seven players go to the flop so there's a minimum of 70 cents in there and the bet and two calls raises that number to 85 cents. Now, your opponent is getting 8.5:1 on his money when he's only a little worse than 4:1 to hit, or twice the money he needs to make his call "profitable" (of course we know a flush is dead here). Do you think he'll call a turn bet or fold?

To the rest of you: I beg a little patience of you here. I am well aware that this conversation is tangential to the real themes of the hand but I want to pursue this path of discussing his thinking. Once we reach a conclusion as to whether his thinking is logical and reasonable we can look at other ways to think about and play the hand.
