you can buy health insurance for self-employed individuals. i have it, it's ~$1300/yr(i think) and covers major medical/dental. at the very least everyone should be covered for "catastrophic" occurances, the type of [censored] that lands one in the hospital for weeks/months. it's not that difficult, especially if you're a baller and aren't concerned with finding the best deal. people sell this [censored] for a living, find a salesman and describe your situation. presto they do the rest.
