The 1-FE term has to be outside the other brackets.

Look at it this way:
EV = (chance villain folds)*(reward when villain folds) + (chance villain calls)*(reward when villain calls)

EDIT: the term (reward when villain calls) is the EV calculation based on your pot equity.
