So does this mean you'd fold it the first time, and then adapt your game as you develop more history with villain?

I just wanted to get concrete thoughts on why you like c/f. It seems to me that if you decide to c/c turn, then it allows villian to play perfectly against you, cuz if you check call turn, then check river, it narrorws your range by alot. If villain views hero as a competent player, then he can surmise that he doesn't have trips or better at this point, and can thus profitably push and force hero to fold his marginal pair. (is this correct at all or am I way off?) Thus c/f turn is good to avoid hairy situations that force you to make decisions for the rest of your stack...? and is it for the above reason that betting turn is better? because it makes the hand play easier?
