Why is 3 betting such an automatic decision for most people? Every table plays different, you can't just say 'we have AJs against a loose players CO open, I 3-bet'. What's his 3-bet calling range? Does he bluff a lot postflop?
Villain here opens way too many hands, we have position on him, and he is passive postflop. Who says we are folding to a c-bet if we miss? Why can't we bluff raise? Or float and bet the turn if he checks?
3-betting pre is a bluff against most villains, so as others have said, I'd rather do it with 76s.
We may even win a decnt pot if he has KJ/AT, hands he probably folds to a 3bet pre.
