hand 1 - action and positions don't make sense. did you limp/raise? ignoring that, you haven't described his postflop tendencies at all to give you any kind of plan here. if you actually limp/raised, this is just terrible all around.
hand 2 - if button will bet if checked to, you probably should have let him on the flop.
