I made a number of inquiries to the Victorian Casino & Gambling Regulator (whatever it is called) when I was involved in an organisation running a small game (10c/20c blinds) for up to 100 people a night.

They consistently told me and others that it was fine as long as we didn't take a rake.


Crown has a monopoly license for casino operations, so I'm fairly confident that other operators are not legit.

Actually, this year in victoria another casino is allowed to open. Crown had a deal with the gov. that for 10 years after its opening they HAD to have a monopoly and i believe those 10 years have either just passed or are about to.
However i doubt that any other casino will open up, but it would be nice
