After hearing what happened at many of the final tables (where (drunken) spectators ruined it for the participants), I think having the final table seq. is a great idea, and quite frankly, that they should do it for all events.

Nothing like having a bunch of rowdy drunks standing a foot away from the final table to disrupt your game if you happen to be at the final table, to convince you of the benifits of a a sequestrium.

Not to say that they couldn't change it so that there is at least 30 feet of clearence from the audiance for the final table, and that they forbid drinking by the audiance if they want to be there.

At the final table in australia, there was no audience. We were essentially in a sequestered area with literally NO people allowed in the room. There was a closed circuit tv system set up throughout the casino, but no one allowed in. It sucked. It really did. I wanted my friends there, I wanted to see the yelling or the cheering, I wanted to be able to go over and talk to them, and honestly in the long run it might have cost me the tournament to not easily be able to go over and talk to my friends before playing HU. Not to mention it's not nearly as cool for the cameras.

QFT. Hell, one of the things I love about MTT play is getting sweated when I reach a FT. It's quite cool having 10 people cheer you on at a final table when you're playing for relatively big money.
