Re: playing against ratholers
The main situation in which I hate good shortstacks is when I'm facing a button open from the small blind with a shortstack in the big blind. I feel I have to either play less profitably versus the button or less profitably versus the shortstack. Versus people who steal very light I rarely flatcall from the SB but with a shorty in the BB I will more frequently flatcall and also occasionally with big hands to deter the shorties from squeezing light. Is this a good adjustment or am I better off just 3-betting a tighter range?
