I would not bother trying to make money playing O8 at 2/4 live. Some places even rake more for an O8 game, I guess because it is more trouble to deal and fewer hands per hour. Which of course means even if you are making a profit you are making it more slowly. And considering the number of chopped pots, if you are toking $1 for winning half a pot, there goes another decent amount of your potential profit. Not even sure that 2/4 Holdem is worth playing for the money, but pretty sure that 2/4 O8 would be worse. I don't think I have ever seen O8 spread lower than 3/6, and I really thought that was too low to bother with.
