Default Re: when to post in a short handed game???

[ QUOTE ]
Even in a 6 handed game? wow. never knew that... How many handed should it be to post in the cut off?

If the table is that good and/or I have excellent position on a big donor, I'll post in the CO on a 9-handed or more table. That's just because I believe that my EV from seeing those extra hands (vs. waiting for the BB) is great enough to justify spending the extra blind.

In a short-handed game you are indeed always best off waiting for the big blind to get around to you. Posting in the CO will only allow you to see an extra 3 hands vs. waiting, and you simply will not earn enough bets long-term by doing that to offset your losses from posting (and putting in additional bets when you don't win).
