I think this is an idiotic trend as well. I started to notice this about a year and a half ago. I think this is bad for the game a) slow the game down with all the changing b) the physical size of the pots get smaller which has an impact on looseness.

I don't play 2/4 much anymore, but when I do I sit with $80-$120 in all whites.

Years ago, when it was all white chips used at the tables I would buy some reds to keep the size of my stack down as to not look like I'm winning much. But ultimately, I think this is flawed thinking and more chips physically there are at the table, the better for llhe games.
