Default Re: Is it possible to beat live low limit Omaha/8 ?

What is the rake?

Rake is tough to beat in many low limit games. Given that the pots are split, and assuming the house is taking a big bet (or more) out of most pots, I wouldn't expect to do much better than even at 2/4. Some of the rake effect may be offset by the looseness of the tables...

Some advise that is always good is even more appropriate in a game like this:

(1) Play premium hands only.

(2) Only continue after the flop if you have or you are drawing to the nuts.

(3) Unless the pot is already inflated (or likely to be due to multiway action) do not draw to half the pot EVEN IF drawing to the nuts.
