Default Re: noob wondering about variance

I've heard limit. Don't take my word, but I'm going to take a stab as to why.

In limit, betting is pretty concrete, leaving people to be able to follow draws and the such.

In No-limit, you dictate the odds you are giving the other person, therefore you can decide whether you want somebody to follow draws or not. you decide whether you want to put any more money into the pot and how much. You can gain more information in no-limit that can tell you to get off of a hand when you are behind.

However, if you are an idiot and throw your money around, the swings in no-limit CAN be greater than limit.

Anybody want to debunk me?
