In a multiway pot it's often worth calling huge raises with low/middling cards in PLO, because if your opponents all have AATQ, KKTJ, 9TQA etc hands your cards are very live and you can actually be favourite - you'll often just need to make two-pair to win, while your opponents have no chance of making a set and are unlikely to make a straight ince all their cards are in other player's hands. There's a famous hand in which Brad Booth puts in $60k preflop four-way with something like 3345 and takes down a $250k pot for exactly this reason. I think J972 is a junk hand since you're really hoping for a very particular flop, e.g. 8T. But, well, Zigmund likes to gamble.
