The thing that made The French Connection so great is that it was filmed without any permits. They put cameras in the cars and in various spots in NY and filmed the scene. The other cars in the chase weren't driven by stunt drivers. They were everyday people just doing their normal driving without knowing there was a movie been made.

My choice.....any episode of Chips. How many times can cars jump over each other flipping 100 times in mid air while landing on another car and blow up without anyone getting hurt?
