Thanks for the advice so far. What you guys have said was really my only critique of myself, which was getting involved in the hand in the first place. I was basically trying to take control of a limped pot in position with a marginal hand. I put my opponent on those exact hands and I thought the king was most likely as he had played it and he didn't want to make a decision if I had a flush or not to my bet on the river.
