Default Re: Turn Decision with JJ?

First of all, raise more preflop. Make the blinds define their hands. The BB has to call $0.50 into a $1.75 pot, so there are a ton of hands he could be calling with.

As played, this is a really strange way to play anything but trips. Of course, you don't have any reads, so it's hard to say. There aren't really any good plays. If you call, the pot will be around $10, and will you really want to call a $6-10 value bet on the river with just a pair of jacks (assuming you don't improve)? I wouldn't. If you raise and he pushes, you've just spewed a lot.

I think your best option is to just call this bet and then think about calling on the river if the draws do not come in. I have a feeling you're going to see stuff like 87s, 76s, and A7s a lot here. Maybe even 33.
