Default Re: Chat revoked cus of the BBV HU FLIP TOURNY!!!?!?!?

Here's my appeal to Stars support fwiw

Hello,
I agree that under normal circumstances, my chat would have been extremely inappropriate and having my chat banned completely justified. However, I think that the circumstances of this chat don't warrant having my chat revoked. This was in a private tournament for members of twoplustwo (a poker message board). The entire point of the tournament is for everyone to go all-in on every hand until someone wins. Here's a link to the thread where the tournament was set up: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...3&fpart=all
We just wanted to have a fun, quick time and gamble for a few dollars. The problem was that ChodeZilla (which is a very inappropriate screenname, by the way... chode is a slang term for a part of a man's anatomy) wasn't going all-in on the hands. This wasn't a case of him unwittingly finding himself in this crazy tournament and just trying to play real poker.... he announced in the thread that I linked that he was intentionally got going all-in to make the rest of us mad (on twoplustwo, doing this is called "grimming"). Also, the player was taking the maximum amount of time to make each decision. He was intentionally being a lightning rod for criticism and hate from the other players in the tournament.

I have a very good record of polite chat on PokerStars and I've never, to my knowledge, had a complaint about my chat. I've been playing on Stars for about three years and I've played several hundred thousand hands.

Given the fact that: 1) the player was intentionally antagonizing every other player in the tournament; 2) it was a private tournament; and 3) I have an excellent record of polite chat, I feel that the revocation of my chat privileges is unjustified and I'd like to appeal PokerStars' decision.

Thank you,
Sean

Hello thedude3751,

We have received a complaint regarding your use of inappropriate
language at our tables. After reviewing the chat log (see below), it
was decided to remove your chat privileges for a period of 1 month.
Your language was highly offensive and completely unacceptable.

Our goal at PokerStars is to be a fun place to play, where everyone
can feel comfortable. Foul language and abuse of other players takes
away from everyone's enjoyment, and therefore will not be permitted.

Please note that you may not be the only one receiving a message such
as this. When we receive a chat complaint, we review the entire chat
of all players at the table. Any other offenders at the table were
also warned or revoked as appropriate to our policies.

Your chat privileges will be reinstated in one month.

Regards,

PokerStars Support Team
