I was the same way for the first few times I went to casinos. It goes away with time. When I first started, I'd make sure my money clip was in my pocket still every 5 steps it seemed.
Like TT said, unless you scream 'I have a thousand dollars' nobody will know. Your chances of getting robbed are the same as they were if you only had a dollar. Just don't flash it and go about your business.
