Don't know anything about his play, whether he can chip or putt, but maybe he's a bad driver, and the rest of his game is ok.

Only drawback is that the course is pretty long. If it was 6800 yards, it'd be a lot easier.

Some forethought/course management could go a long way for him on the final 18 when his physical skills aren't quite up to par...
