Cubs just traded Barrett to San Diego for Rob Bowen (a backup catching .238 hitter who was previously acquired by Padres off waivers).
Shows how far Barrett had fallen in Chicago and what his trade value was like around the league.
Rumor is that they almost did a deal Jones/Izzy/Barrett for Greene/Bowen. That would have been interesting.
