These C/R top pair/mid pair on xxy types check the turn the vast majority of the time if they are called on the flop, so you can fire any turn you want. (1 large barrel on A turn, 2 incl smallish turn bet if turn bricks) I'm almost positive this is more +EV than raising the flop. What I'd be interested in is whether or not its more +EV if both the turn and river brick and you fire both streets. My hunch is that he calls turn a bit too much to make the turn bet +EV in isolation, but folds riv a huge % of the time, making the line +++EV given the now dead turn money.

Anyway, he makes that raise for info with a T/mid pair so anything but a fold scares the sh*t out of him. If he's bluffing the flop your call is vv strong, so he should be done with the hand. If he has a 6 he'll lead the turn and you can muck, saving 210 or whatever.
