Though it may be illegal, and being "broken up", but I have never heard of any such case taken to court, you say you are not sure whether they were taking some form of a cut and most larger games that are busted that is the assuption (true or not). I would say that the law is a bit fuzzy in any of the states I have read save for the ones that veiw where there is a distinct seperation between a home game of poker (wagering with the same odds) and casino style gameing.i would say that those organising a home game have almost nothing to fear. Once again I would like to see a case involving a home game and not just "hearsay" because many of the details are probably left out.

Also I do think that this is an appropriate topic in this form and also the legislation as it applies to "home games".
