Default Re: Heart problems?

Healthy people don't get palpitations, irregular beats, skipped beats, and so on, so any kind of irregular heart activity is a sign that something's not right. But it's rarely a reason for great concern.

If you don't look after yourself properly, drink too much, have a lot of stress in life that you're not handling, or regularly have poor sleep, the problems you describe are common without anything being wrong with you. The most telling symptoms of a weak/failing heart are missed beats, fluid in the lungs (causing persistent coughing/wheezing), and trouble doing normal exercise. A fast heartbeat occasionally is more likely stress related.

I am not a doctor, but I did have a strange heart murmur when younger (which later disappeared), so I learnt about this stuff.
