Other player was drawing dead, so it shouldn't make a difference. However, I think we've all seen cases where the dealer has made a mistake after the hand and either pushed the pot to the wrong person or tried to.
For this reason, no matter what the situation, I think the dealer should just deal at his normal pace and not get out of his rhythm.
