Re: What does your relationship with your mother mean?
Last night I was explaining to the Boy that I've found you need to be proactive when it comes to health care. Part of this belief came from spending a lot of time in the hospital when I was young.
He replied that it was part of the reason that I can boss people around and get them to do what I want. [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]
I objected to this characterization because it seemed to make me out as a bully. "I usually ask politely for whatever we need. I don't think I'm rude."
He pointed out my behavior at hotels. I'll ask politely first, but press my point if I don't get the reply I want.
Basically, his Mom doesn't take any BS.
So, any views on the effects of living with an assertive Mom?
