Default Re: $80 WSOP Sat - big stack on Button

Given the range I had him on, I had to call. In this case, he showed 44 for the flopped set. So while I wasn't drawing dead, I only had 4 outs to the full house.

However, I was surprised that he was willing to go AI at the end. I don't know if he was expecting me to fold given my apparent weakness or betting for value.

<WARNING>Results-Oriented Thinking ahead</WARNING>

I'm not sure how this hand would have played out using a different line.

1. Fold pre-flop, I lose nothing (but I haven't seen any votes for that option).

2. Bet out on the flop, he likely pushes allin, to which I can fold given the board.

3. Check behind on the flop, but reraise AI on the turn, I'm sure he calls, given the actual result.

4. Push preflop? Suicidal on my part, but he probably folds 44 then, since he's currently 2nd stack, and doesn't need to take a stand. Maybe 4x accomplishes the same thing, since he doesn't have implied odds against a big pocket pair.

Thanks for the input,
Kindling
