Re: What is your position on DUI?
I don't really know my position on all this stuff. I know there have been times when I would have legally qualified for a DUI. My biggest problem is cops who are looking for DUI's, and don't think this doesn't happen.
A friend of mine had a couple of beers one night out at a bar. The arresting officer saw him leave a bar, followed him for 6 miles, couldn't find a major excuse to pull him over, pulled him over for his tag light being out, and took him to jail after blowing a .09.
Another time I was around campus late at night. I turned on red where there was a "no turn on red" sign. I got pulled over, and luckily hadn't had anything to drink. I kind of knew the cop who pulled me over. He let me go after informing me that he doesn't care about the turning on red. He just uses that as a reason to pull people over and try to write up some DUI's.
