Disagree about KK/QQ/JJ being garbage, at least at these limits. I play almost all KKxx and some of the better QQ/JJ hands, and all show a modest profit in my PTO database (though all below A2xx or AAxx, unsurprisingly). However, as overpairs they're basically worthless in PLO8; these are no-set no-bet hands. They also become less profitable once you face opposition that doesn't play lower pairs as much, and is capable of folding lower sets / lower full houses. So I agree that if you want to develop good habits for playing against stronger opposition, you should fold all but the most coordinated high pair hands; but, played cautiously, these hands are profitable at microlimits.
