Re: Why the hell did I overcall....
Well the truth is, I am trying again to move up to 20/40 from 8/16. I am, in my opinion, the biggest winner in the 8/16 game, could be debatable, could be clear cut. So that will give you a reason why I am playing slightly passive preflop. Last time I moved up, I played way too aggressive, trying to win every pot I was in, and it was disasterous.
So this time, I am trying to play more tight and passive than I did last time, and then I am used to at 8/16, while I get my bearings in the game. It will be an adjustment period, but I am simply trying to play 4-6 hours of the game, and then quit, while at 8/16, I would rarely play for less than 6 hours.
I am trying to get experience and hope I can stay up there for good come July or August, and yelling at myself for [censored] hands like this will help me learn my lesson.
And if we want to be results oriented, if I would have check raised the preflop raiser, I woulda got him to win the pot (if drunk guy folds his K3), and woulda lost at least one more bet because of it, but that is stupid thinking.
