Default Re: 200NL: Tough spot with KK

Red, folding here PF seems pretty awful to me and I can be pretty weak tight.

Yeah, I know it seems awful and maybe it is. I think it's pretty read and image dependent.

On the flop I think bet out is worse than check calling. The idea being that check calling tells him exactly what you have(pretty much) but it doesn't tell him for certain if you are going to felt it no matter what or not. In other words, I don't think villains AK or QQ will bet again while AA will. On the other hand if op bets out AA can cold call and so can QQ and op will still not know where he is at and still wont know if he checks the turn and villain bets.

These considerations would be helped by a bit of a read like how tight is villain post flop? How jammy? And how does villain see op, like, does he think op may be a call down monkey?

Getting 16bb's in preflop oop is tough. Another consideration is how often villain will slow down on turn with AA. Some will do that a lot for pot control fearing a set of J's but will bet river if op checks it.

I agree that 3bet push is better than 3bet non push.
