fed is Federal Reserve, which is the US central bank...
Market says they're more likely to cut their rates than raise them, because of meh economy, housing market, etc...
In Canada, BoC is more likely to raise them, because of strong economy.
In theory this says the US$ will fall even more in CAN$, but honestly I dont think we need to panic too much, it doesnt go straight up. It's very likely it can take years before it reaches parity.
